About the Artist

My first artistic memory was standing in front of an easel in kindergarten ~ a blank piece of paper and all those powdered pigment colors mixed in cut-off milk cartons. The creative seed was planted and, in 1968, I received a BA degree in Fine Arts from California State University at Long Beach.

After 16 years as a flight attendant, I was inspired by an artist friend to begin painting again. My work eventually sold in a gallery in Carmel, California.

In 1991, I began three-and-a-half years of metalsmithing classes at El Camino Junior College and found a new passion.  I now design and fabricate my line of silver jewelry out of my home studio in Hermosa Beach, California.

Photography has also been an interest of mine. It has led to another endeavor, a line of notecards featuring Bruce, my favorite vintage sock monkey, and his friends. Please visit that website at www.bruceandfriends.com. I think you'll enjoy it.

Thank you for your interest in my work. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
